ART SCULPTURE
Copper and Steel Woven Wall: No visible fasteners. Woven onsite in a recessed alcove.
The 95 steel bars in this structure are the designer’s representation of Martin Luther’s 95 theses. 12 of the steel bars were structural tubes that ran 20’ from floor to ceiling. 47 strips of patinaed copper were woven in after the tubes were installed. This was done with no access from the back or sides. Challenge: Weaving the copper strips into place without damaging the finish on the copper or the steel.
